Just hanging out

Today started of with a horrible nights sleep, nightmares, guess my life is creeping in to my sleep.

I go to a different doctor on Tuesday for my migraines.

I saw on the news tonight that Botox and/or a face lift can help Migraines.....I told my Doctor that 2 years ago...........yes I did Botox 3 times in 2006/2007!!!

The Botox that keep all those (ripples) off of my forehead, also keep away those nasty Migraines and I told the doctor then, ANYONE want to donate the $170.00 for me to have it done now?????

I told my doctor then that I didn't have any Migraine when I had the shots.... Guess I'm smarter than the average JANE....

Mom and Dad called this morning, since Rose quit her job on Thursday, they wanted us to meet them half way for her to visit for a week or so. YES, I drove to Prattville @ 10:30 this morning, and drove back alone........:-(

Even though she's in the hormonal teenage years, and we fuss a lot, we do spend a good deal of time together, and I already miss her.

Felix is on the bed with me, go figure.

Hope everyone is doing well, and who knows, I may get to do some scrapbook pages this week-end. I really need to make several cards.............anyone game???

The picture above was after my volunteer session last Sunday at the AirShow. Rose and I both were soaked, we had to put my canvas shopping bags on the car seats before driving home. Rose said I looked like a drowning rat, I agreed. We had to peel our wet clothes off after we got home.

The pictures were taken at least an hour after we got rained on, and Rose's shirt really shows how wet we were.

We didn't know until the next day that straight line winds had caused the death of a six year old boy. I heard the collective screams from the South parking field where I was stationed. The winds were so strong I couldn't stand up. It was like walking while laying down forward, almost like a someone was playing a trick on my body.

MIGRAINE

Another migraine, another day not being able to work. I can't stand up straight with the meds. Certainly can't think straight, makes talking to the public a real nightmare.

I'm going back to bed now.

On a brighter note, I spotted a few baby squash in my garden last night. Can hardly wait to share with my buds.

Heavy Heart

Today we gave our Jack Russell a new home. We loved her very much, but she and our cat Felix just couldn't see eye to eye on who was boss. I've cried for hours, even though I know we did the right thing.

Allie is living with a couple about the same age as I am, and they recently lost there girl JR, Sophie, to illness and her brother Harley was lonesome. I've already received pictures of them playing together and having fun. We stayed an hour before Rose and I said good bye.

I didn't know it would be so hard, I didn't know I would be so SAD. I can't fight the tears and I miss her being here to greet me when I get home. She stood on the back of the couch so she could be in the front window, I miss that.

Tonight will be long without her being curled up under the covers in the bend of my legs. OK, I know she is only a dog, but she had become family to me.

Thanks for sharing my life, my stories, my emotions, all of you are dear to me.

I can't "talk" about it know, so words on "paper" is all I can do.

Just checking in to say hello!

Hello world!!
Isn't it just beautiful everywhere? Even though my grass is too tall and needs to be mowed, I know the clover is blooming and the bees will be buzzing soon. To most of you that doesn't mean much, to me that means my squash, tomatoes, etc. will be pollinated and hopefully I will have fresh veggies to eat in the summer. So I'm not only saving fuel by not cutting my grass every 7 days, I'm attracting bees to my little patch of growing veggies. Did I mention that everything is attracted to my newly turned garden?
Let me go back to the beginning. The dirt has never been broken where I live in the 19 years I've lived here. Since it's the backside of a mountain; the dirt is not only the hard red clay Alabama is known for, it is also filled with those pesky rocks.

Well the day I began running my Troy-Bilt "HORSE", it really ran me....it was dragging me around the yard for hours and it felt good.

I was breaking ground for my own garden, my own private place to pick my fresh peppers, eggplants,squash, and tomatoes, so being dragged around my yard for hours was a small price to pay.

Well after four hours, and equity sweat I noticed that my dog was enjoying this as much as I was, he had a brand new place to play!

Now our Snappy is 14 years old, but he still loves to lay on his back and play in the dirt, and this dirt was new, this dirt was cool and soft, he was having the time of his life. I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

OK, I've gotten a bit of track, but ADD does that, I'll try to explain the planting process later, Snappy enjoyed that process as well, he's such a good boy.

NO pics today, just saying hello

Just logging in to say hello to everyone. It's been a bit crazy around our house lately and I'm thinking it just my slow down for a bit. I'm getting ready to dig around in the yard. My Parents are bringing me plants today. My Mom has a porch sized green house and has grown seedlings of tomato's, squash and such....I'm so excited.
While I was visiting them last week I went to a WONDERFUL scrapbook store and spent waaay too much money on new and exciting things to work with, a girl can never have too much pretty paper, right?????

I looking for suggestions to work on my Parents 50th Anniversary invitation, party, scrapbook, etc.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day, I'm headed into work. Got to punch that clock again.

I've started selling ARBONNE products, and maybe one day the time clock will go away.....
I'll share more about that later, the clock is ticking away.

I finished with the altered box

So, today I've been a bit on the UN-organized side.

Rose and I repaired the washer today. The water mixer froze last Saturday night, but due to that nasty ole' bug, I just didn't feel like dealing with it. So I called A-1 about buying the part Friday, $35 plus tax...... THEN I remembered my friend Big John and his wife Susan gave me their old machine for parts. Now "ain't" that cool??? So Rose & I put on our insulated underclothes (the washer is in the garage) and WE fixed that puppy today. I'm washing the 5th load now, we stripped the beds and such. We make a pretty good handy woman team....Mother/Daughter Team for the day award....tee hee hee

NOW for the fun stuff. Michael's had their ROCK STAR paper on sale, and I had been really wanting it for a long time, but just could not pay full price for it.

I took one of those display boxes from Costco and altered it. Now I have the neatest little storage container, right now I have my rubber stamps lined up in it. I plan to do a series of these. I covered it with the matte Mod Podge. ANYWAY, take a look, let me know what you think, it was so much fun.
